Floods – URGENT
Flash floods in Sudan have devastated the country from border to border. Many have lost homes and crops, and continue to fight the increasing river levels. Vital infrastructure has been destroyed, threatening the water supply of up to 84,000 people. Unfortunately, the post-flood scenario is an environment that encourages the growth of waterborne diseases and other illnesses. The UN has warned that this will create obstacles in the effort to contain the coronavirus outbreak.
Across the country, there is a pressing need for sandbags, digging machines and diesel for machinery.
